The Spirit of Innovation and Creativity
In 1994, a group of engineering set up ACTEN, a company specializing in rubber processing machineries, The formation of the company was inspired by innovative and creative ideas as a result of many years of experience working for a major tread manufacturer. ACTEN today provides service in design and consultation, machineries maintenance and modification, new and technically advanced equipment, raw materials and accessories.
Broadening Capabilities and Influence
ACTEN continually introduces newer and better ways to process rubber, and has been responsible for updating the technical know-how of many Malaysian based rubber tread manufacturers. The flourishing rubber tread industry in Malaysia is a testament of the Company’s unique role as a ‘one-stop supplier’ for the industry. Supported by high technical capabilities in the rubber industry as a whole, ACTEN’s customer base has now broadened to encompass almost all other rubber based industries such as new tires, automotive parts, hoses, car mats, cables, conveyor belts, rubber rollers, gloves, and condoms.
Beyond the Borders of Malaysia
The worldwide acceptance of Malaysian-made quality rubber tread has expanded ACTEN’s control of the market beyond Malaysia. The Company’s expertise now benefits many small and medium sized rubber tread manufacturers across the globe. ACTEN’s workforce has also grown from an original small team of specialists to now include a rubber technologist with over 30 years experience in the rubber tread industry and strong marketers with a collective market experience of 40 years or more. The global market place has also propelled ACTEN to obtain the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 accreditation in the year 2004.

As a logical and effective strategy to insulate one’s profitability against unfavorable market conditions, small and medium re treaders are recognizing the benefits of an auxiliary to its retreading business. This has paved the way for ACT EN to offer these manufacturers turnkey plants, tailor-made to suit their investment budget. Backed by ACTE N’s wealth of experience and know-how, it is now possible for a small but modern rubber tread plant to produce top quality products rivaling any other producers in the world.
